As a PIM Business Analyst, you work within an agile product team composed of a Product Owner, Technical Analyst, and a distributed development team. You align continuously with the Product Owner on backlog prioritization, business value, sprint goals, and roadmap execution. You collaborate closely with the Technical Analyst to translate business rules into technical specifications and lead functional clarification sessions with developers.
You facilitate discovery workshops with business stakeholders in French and English, capture requirements, write clear user stories in Jira and Confluence with acceptance criteria and sample datasets, and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and taxonomy structures. You define and refine target data models within the Syndigo PIM/MDM platform and establish data quality rules and validation workflows.
During Agile ceremonies, you review user stories with developers, provide prompt answers to functional questions to avoid sprint blockers, perform pre-UAT functional testing, design UAT strategy, coordinate testing, manage defects in Jira, and deliver sprint demonstrations, platform documentation, and training for Data Stewards and business users.
The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent, at least 3 years hands-on experience with the Syndigo platform, and 4 years as a Functional Business Analyst. Professional fluency in French and English, experience in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence, and basic SQL and data profiling skills are required. Strong communication, analytical mindset, and cross-cultural agility are essential.
